This Halloween pretzel bark is a quick and easy treat that combines crunchy pretzels, creamy milk and dark chocolate, and goofy candy eyes for a spooky, kid-friendly snack. Ready in just 15 minutes of hands-on time, it’s perfect for classroom parties, trick-or-treat bags, or a fun family activity.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups mini twist pretzels or pretzel sticks
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • ½ cup dark chocolate chips
  • ½ cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil, divided
  • ¼ cup candy eyes
  • Optional: sprinkles, orange jimmies, flaky sea salt, candy pumpkins

Instructions

  1. Line a half-sheet pan with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat, letting the paper hang over the edges slightly.
  2. Spread the pretzels in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, filling the pan evenly without stacking.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine 1 cup milk chocolate chips, ½ cup dark chocolate chips, and ½ teaspoon coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each, until mostly melted (about 1–1½ minutes total).
  4. Pour the melted chocolate over the pretzels and use a spatula to spread it evenly, coating every pretzel.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine ½ cup white chocolate chips and ½ teaspoon coconut oil. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring after each, until melted (white chocolate burns easily, so watch closely).
  6. Using a fork or small spoon, drizzle the melted white chocolate over the milk chocolate layer in zigzags or random patterns.
  7. While the white chocolate is still wet, press the candy eyes into the bark randomly. Add optional toppings like sprinkles or sea salt if desired.
  8. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (or freezer for 15 minutes) until the chocolate is completely firm.
  9. Once set, lift the parchment paper to remove the bark from the pan. Break into irregular 2–3 inch pieces with your hands.

Notes

Don’t overheat the chocolate—microwave in short bursts and stir well. Work quickly once chocolate is melted. Let bark set completely before breaking. For gluten-free, use gluten-free pretzels. For dairy-free, use dairy-free chocolate chips and skip white chocolate drizzle. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze for up to 3 months.
