Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Buffalo wing sauce
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: 2 tablespoons chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Soften the cream cheese by letting it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes or microwaving in 10-second bursts until soft but not melted.
  3. Shred the cooked chicken into bite-sized pieces using two forks.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, Buffalo wing sauce, ranch dressing, melted butter, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix with a hand mixer on medium speed until completely smooth and well combined.
  5. Fold in the shredded chicken until every piece is coated.
  6. Add half of the shredded cheddar and all of the mozzarella. Fold gently to combine.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly around the edges and the top is lightly golden.
  10. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.

Notes

For best texture, use room temperature cream cheese and shred your own cheese. The dip can be assembled a day ahead and refrigerated; add 5-10 minutes to baking time. For parties, transfer to a slow cooker on warm after baking. Leftovers keep in the refrigerator for up to 4 days and freeze well for up to 3 months.
